💡 At Home
Here are a few ways you can support your child's learning at home this week:
Read:
Students are encouraged to read for 20–30 minutes each night. Reading can include novels, graphic novels, nonfiction books, or magazines. Reading time can also be a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to read with or to their child. Taking turns reading, listening to your child read, or sharing a book together all count!
Practice:
Students are encouraged to continue practicing their basic math facts. Quick recall of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts helps students solve more complex math problems with confidence and efficiency.
Talk about: Who was Terry Fox and do you think he was a hero? Why? Who else do you know of that is a hero? Can you sing the 3's and 4's skip counting songs? What have you learned about residential schools through our novel study (Fatty Legs) so far?
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Boldt
